Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Shoothill has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not occurring within our business or supply chains.

Our Commitment

Shoothill is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We strive to ensure that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and any other form of exploitation do not occur in our operations or within our supply chain. We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Shoothill is a UK-based IT technology and software development company specializing in consultancy, design, marketing, IT support and bespoke software development. Our supply chain includes software suppliers, IT equipment providers, professional services, and other third-party vendors who support our operations.

Policies and Procedures

To prevent modern slavery and human trafficking, we have implemented the following policies and procedures:

  1. Supplier Code of Conduct – All suppliers and contractors are required to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes provisions on ethical business practices, labour standards, and human rights.
  2. Employee Training – We provide training to our employees to raise awareness about modern slavery, identify potential risks, and understand the actions they can take to prevent and report any concerns.
  3. Whistleblowing Policy – Shoothill has a whistleblowing policy that encourages employees, suppliers, and partners to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or unethical practices within our business or supply chains.
  4. Due Diligence Processes – We conduct due diligence on our supply chain partners to assess and mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. This includes evaluating the nature of their business, their geographical location, and their own policies on labour standards.
  5. Risk Assessment and Management – We regularly assess our business and supply chain to identify areas of potential risk related to modern slavery and human trafficking and implement measures to mitigate these risks.

Effectiveness and Performance Monitoring

To ensure that our policies and procedures are effective, we monitor and review our approach regularly. This includes:

  • Reviewing supplier compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • Monitoring reports of concerns or breaches received through our whistleblowing channels.
  • Regularly evaluating our risk assessment and management procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose.

Future Steps

Shoothill is committed to continuously improving our practices to combat modern slavery. In the coming year, we will:

  • Enhance our supplier due diligence processes.
  • Expand employee training on modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Strengthen our monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
