Water Plus gets their flow back thanks to Shoothill
Slowly but surely the United Kingdom’s commercial water market is becoming deregulated. When this happens, all UK businesses will have the option to source their water from their choice of vendor for free. As a result, new business opportunities arise. Along comes Water Plus, a joint business venture between already existing water suppliers across the English midlands. The company have been distributing water to hundreds of thousands of commercial customers across the nation for several years and continue to do so.
A new functional change within an industry such as deregulation often brings around an influx of demand and this was the case with Water Plus. Shoothill were challenged by Water Plus to develop a modern application to digitally transform their online processes to better accommodate this new demand. At Shoothill, digital transformation is at the heart of what we do. The water market has always been extremely competitive; Water Plus were looking to add value to their service to give them an advantage over their competitors. Shoothill’s task was to streamline back end billing management while also simultaneously serving as a gateway for clients to view their data and transfer existing data from the old obsolete system to the brand-new system flawlessly.
Shoothill’s response to the challenge is the My Account Plus Portal, a web-based application accessible by both employees and customers of Water Plus. Task automation and an effective toolkit improve the speed and efficiency of the billing process for all parties.
This project was a complex one and Shoothill are proud to say that we delivered and then some. We outshone the client’s expectations to the timescale. Our development team thrive when challenged and are consistent at delivering high quality solutions.
